Firstly and most importantly, we have to ensure our members and potential members remain safe through the audition process so we will need you to fill in the Screening form and the pre audition form BEFORE the audition day. You will not be allocated a time slot if this has not been submitted online and may not be able to audition.
Please Click in these boxes to submit a form.
If you completed this form in advance of the previously planned show dates you will need to re submit for the September show date as rehearsal commitments will be different.
You will be required to perform an audition in front of a panel of 4. This panel will be at a distance of approximately 5 metres. Your audition if performed with someone else, will be with a clear separation between you and other auditionees.
All audition material is available in the file sharing area of the website.
Please Click in this box to access this area.
Below are the character profiles for The Wedding Singer.
It is important to note the following specifics about these characters.
Applicants for "Robbie" should be capable of demonstrating their skill at playing acoustic guitar and singing simultaneously. The audition parts include the guitar chords. A guitar will be available for use during the audition and will be sanitised after each use. Applicants are welcome to provide their own instrument. Music and lyrics are permitted. Applicants may audition singing and playing as separate auditions if they wish, however it is prefered that these auditions are performed simultaneously.
Applicants wishing to be considered for Featured Dancers must complete the Advanced dance audition.
Any applicants for lead or supporting roles MUST complete at least an intermediate dance audition prior to audition day, with the exception of "Angie" who has no dance requirements, and applicants for "Holly" must complete the ADVANCED dance audition.
No audition is required for chorus however it is preferred that you attend a dance audition so we can assess your ability level. If you absolutely do not wish to dance then please say. We can still accommodate non dancers.
There are 41 speaking roles in this show. We will only be auditioning the parts listed in the first chart. The other roles will be condensed and offered out after auditions have concluded.
If you audition for a Lead or Support role, you will have a much greater chance of being offered a cameo role if unsuccessful for your first choice role. If any of these roles specifically interest you, please note this on your application.
